Thanks to everyone who traveled with us to Fellowship of His Glory on last Sunday. Today at 4:00, we will worship and fellowship with Successful Word Ministries, located at 234 Kettering Road in High Point.

The 2011 Men’s Retreat will be held November 4-6 in Oak Island, NC. The total cost is $160. Sign up via the bulletin or in the lobby and see Jay Jones for more information.

The Youth Ministry announces, “True Love Waits,” coming each Sunday evening in October. In a small group setting, teaching on sexual purity is presented to encourage moral purity by adhering to biblical principles. The sessions will be held at the homes of youth council members. You can sign up in the lobby or via the bulletin.

Calvary will hold a ministry fair in the fellowship hall after both services on Sunday, October 2. This will be a great opportunity for you to explore the many ministry opportunities here at Calvary. Remember God has equipped everyone to serve in ministry. We look forward to seeing you there.

Graduating high school seniors and parents, mark your calendars to attend the mandatory information session about the Calvary Christian Center scholarship. It takes place on Sunday, September 18, 2011 after the 11:30 service.

Join us for prayer on Wednesdays at 6:45 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

We celebrate baptisms on the first Sunday of each month. If you would like to be baptized, please check the appropriate box on the registration form in your bulletin.

The first deadline for all women attending the 2012 Retreat is today. Remember ladies, there will be a meeting tomorrow at 6:30 to consider Broadway plays and other activities. Holiday Tours is sending a bus with less seats and more leg room for us to consider.

Our next cycle of Orientation will began today. You can completer this cycle by attending the remaining 5 classes. The class meets at 8:15 in the Fellowship Hall.

Calvary’s 8th Annual Health Fair will be held during the week of Holy Convocation on Saturday, September 24th from 11am until 2pm. There will be free cholesterol testing, information on prostate cancer, and the Colgate van will be available to do screening on children teeth ages 1 to 12. Also, this year we will have a Business Expo. Featuring businesses by our very own Covenantors.

There will be a Volunteer Training Session for all persons working with children on Saturday, September 17th, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.

Members and friends don’t forget to sign up for our co-ed captain’s choice golf tournament to be held on Friday, October 7th at 1pm. The cost is $50 per person, but there is an early bird special of $45 per person for teams of four that sign up by September 23rd. Registration forms are in the lobby. Holy Convocation is fast approaching. The dates are September 23-23. Pastor Jerry Wilson and the Beulah Baptist Church family, Bishop George Brooks and the Mt. Zion Baptist Church family and Pastor John Tinsley and the Shiloh Baptist Church family will be with us. On Saturday, we will have our Health Fair, a Business Expo and a picnic. Please sign up in the lobby to let us know what dish you will bring. And on Sunday, September 25th at 4:00, we will have William McDowell in concert. Other great activities are planned for the entire week.
