Vince is the pastor/founder of Calvary Christian Center of Greensboro a ministry that he birthed with seven core individuals in January of 2001. He accepted his call to ministry in his junior year of college. After accepting the call, Vince preached his initial sermon at his home church, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Cascade Virginia. He was ordained in 1996 by the Guilford Missionary Baptist Association.
Vince is an honors graduate with a Bachelor of Science in History Education and a Master of Science in Education Administration and Supervision from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. He has done additional study at Yale University, Nova Southeastern University and the Houston Graduate School of Theology.
In addition to being the founder of Calvary, he also founded Total Christian Concepts (TCC) in 1995, Calvary East (Reach Ministries) in 2006, Calvary Ecumenical Fellowship in 2007, and Calvary Southwest (Spirit and Truth Worship Center of the Triad) in 2009.
Vince has faithfully served in ministry under two generals of the faith – Bishop Otis Lockett of Evangel Fellowship C.O.G.I.C. and his father in ministry, Bishop George Brooks of Mount Zion Baptist church of Greensboro.
In December of 1992, he married Attorney Cheryl Jackson, the wife of his youth. God has blessed them with four amazing children, Christian, Christianna, Christopher, and Christoff.
Vince is a man of integrity who believes that being taught the Word of God is what causes believers to mature in the faith. He constantly says: “The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing, and the main thing is Jesus!”
